La galería is a contemporary art space in San José del Cabo dedicated to emerging artists, curatorial research, and internationally grounded exhibitions.
About the Art House
Originally constructed in the 1980´s, the building that now houses la galería is part of the urban fabric of San Jose del Cabo’s historic center. Its recent reinterpretation responds to a vision of transforming it into an architectural and cultural landmark. One that engages its surroundings, activates them, and projects them into the future.
In 2024, the building was reimagined by Mexican architect Piero Demichelis, with a design inspired by the spirit of region. The intervention respected the scale and memory of the original structure, incorporating precise, contemporary details that allow the different programs to coexist without overpowering one another. Within the building, several spaces coexist and inform one another: la galería as an exhibition space; Los Cabos Sotheby´s International Realty and Diálogo, a gallery housing the celebrated high-end design house ATRA Form. Together, these programs create an ecosystem where art, design and architecture engage in organic dialogue.
Conceived as a space in constant transformation, The Art House, is activated through exhibitions, projects, and gatherings that foster anticipation and maintain a close relationship with the community. More than a building, it seeks to be a place that provokes thought, inviting visitors to pause, observe, and reflect.
Sobre el Art House
Construido originalmente en la década de 1980, el edificio que hoy alberga la galería forma parte del tejido urbano del centro histórico de San José del Cabo. Su reciente re-interpretación responde a la visión de convertirlo en un referente arquitectónico y cultural de la ciudad: un espacio capaz de dialogar con su contexto, activarlo y proyectarlo hacia el futuro.
En 2024, el inmueble fue reinterpretado por el arquitecto mexicano Piero Demichelis con un diseño inspirado en el alma de la región a través de la arquitectura. La intervención respetó la escala y la memoria del edificio original, incorporando detalles precisos y contemporáneos que permite que los distintos programas convivan sin imponerse unos sobre otros. Al interior coexisten la galería, un espacio de exhibición de arte contemporáneo, la oficina de Los Cabos Sotheby´s International Realty, y Diálogo un espacio que alberga la celebrada casa de diseño ATRA Form. Juntos conforman un ecosistema en el que el arte, el diseño y la arquitectura dialogan de manera orgánica.
Concebido como un espacio en constante transformación, el Art House se activa a través de exposiciones, encuentros que generan reflexión, intercambio y una relación directa con la comunidad, consolidándose como un referente cultural vivo en el centro de San José del Cabo.

San Jose del Cabo Art Walk
Thursday evening from 17.00 – 21.00
The San José del Cabo Art Walk is a popular weekly tradition held every Thursday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, running from November through June. This event was established, promoted, and organized by the Gallery District Association in the hopes of drawing art lovers and tourists away from the Main Square and into our color-filled back streets behind the church.
